Cookie Policy
How cookies and similar browser technologies are used on the Edufelt public website.
1. How consent works
Essential technologies are available by default because they support security and core site functions. Functional, Analytics and Marketing categories are optional. The site records your latest preference in your browser and stores a limited consent decision record containing a random consent identifier, the selected categories, policy version, source and time of the choice. Edufelt does not store a raw IP address in that consent record.
2. Essential technologies
Essential technologies support security features such as anti-forgery protection, authenticated administration, consent preference storage and website functions specifically requested by a visitor. They cannot normally be disabled through the preference centre.
3. Functional category
Functional storage may be used for optional convenience features or preferences that are not required for the site to operate. This category can be disabled in Cookie settings.
4. Analytics category
When Analytics consent is granted, Edufelt may record first-party website usage such as anonymous visitor/session identifiers, page paths, traffic source, broad device/browser type and interaction events. First-party analytics deliberately excludes names, email addresses, demo form content, chat messages and raw IP addresses.
No third-party analytics integration is currently enabled in the Edufelt Analytics settings. First-party analytics can still operate after Analytics consent if it is enabled.
5. Marketing category
Marketing tools are kept separate from analytics consent. No marketing pixel is currently enabled in the Edufelt Analytics settings.
6. Browser privacy signals
When the Edufelt setting to respect browser privacy signals is enabled, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals prevent optional analytics and marketing tracking from starting even when a browser contains an earlier opt-in preference.
7. Changing your choice
You can reopen the preference centre at any time. Disabling a previously enabled optional category causes the public page to reload so optional third-party scripts are no longer active on that page.
8. Retention
First-party analytics and consent records use configurable retention periods controlled by authorized Edufelt administrators. Expired records are removed by a background retention process.
9. Changes to this policy
If the deployed tools or purposes change materially, the consent version should be updated so visitors are asked to review their preferences again.
